All of the following tips will help maintain the life of your pool cover, but are not necessary on a daily basis:
Pay attention to your pool chemistry, because an imbalance could lessen the life of your cover.
Keep water and debris off of your cover.
For track systems, keep your track free of stones and dirt.
For under-track systems, keep your housing clean and make sure that your drains are operating.
Automatic systems may have lubrication requirements. Your pool cover technician will alert you to any lubrication requirements at time of installation, recover, or repairs.
Pay attention to odd sounds because these could indicate a problem.
Pay attention to automatic pool covers not operating smoothly or evenly. If you notice a change, please contact us.
Cleaning Your Cover
Only use water, a pool brush, and a pool cover pump to clean your cover. Never use soaps, detergents, cleaners, or chemicals of any kind to clean your cover as these will harm the cover and make it age quicker.
